MASSAGE AND BODYWORK
BREATH THERAPY : :
How we breath can tell us a lot about how we treat ourselves and how much we trust in life. Working with the Conscious Connect Breath can allow a deeper awareness of body, mind, emotion and spirit. Through breathing in a more holistic manner it is possible to welcome home and integrate parts of ourselves, such as the inner child. Old and restrictive patterns can be gently released, enabling us to more fully embrace life and ourselves with compassion, wisdom, playfulness and joy.

CRANIO-SACRAL BALANCING : :
The Cranio-sacral system contains the bones of the head and spine, the spinal cord and the sacrum. These parts of the body are interconnected through a continuous layer of membranes and fascia. Sometimes accident, illness or emotional trauma leaves this system weak, disturbed and out of balance. Cranio-Sacral balancing is a subtle, yet deeply effective bodywork, which combines scientific skills with the sensitivity and intuition of the practitioner.

During the process, the movements of the cranial bones, membranes and body tissues are fully supported and encouraged to naturally re-adjust. This helps to balance the system and release tension. Particularly effective for headaches and migraine, neck, jaw and whiplash, depression, babies and children.

EAR CANDLING : :
Ear candling is a safe and effective way of clearing out the ears and passageways around the head area. The therapy will relieve years of built-up wax and debris and will relieve irritations of and noises in the ears. This is the natural answer to conditions including: glue ear, inflammation, sinusitis, headaches, ear-ache, surfer’s ear and can equalize ear pressure, help vertigo and Meniere ’s syndrome etc. The process is pleasant and relaxing and can also increase blood supply to the ear and lymphatic circulation to the area.

HEALING TOUCH : :
Healing touch is a biofield therapy that is an energy-based approach to health and healing. It uses touch to influence the human energy system, specifically the energy field that surrounds the body and energy centers that control the flow from energy field to the physical body. These non invasive techniques utilize the hands to clear, energize and balance the human and environmental energy fields thus affecting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and healing. JIN SHIN JYUTSU : :
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) is an ancient healing art which brings balance to the body’s energy pathways, promoting optimal health and wellbeing and facilitates our own profound healing capacity. JSJ can be used safely in conjunction with any other complimentary therapy or medication.
Through the application of gentle pressure on designated points, blockages that have developed along these energy pathways are cleared. By using these simple, hands-on sequences we restore emotional equilibrium, relieve pain and release the caused of chronic and acute conditions.
JSJ further helps neck, shoulder, back and hip pain, headaches, insomnia, high blood pressure, immune system, menopause, PMT, breathing difficulties, depression and weight imbalances.

NATUROPATHY : :
Naturopathy is based upon natural medicine. Through treatment of the whole person it supports the individual’s innate healing mechanism. Following thorough assessment, treatment may involve dietary changes, herbal and homeopathic medicine, bodywork or nutritional supplements. The word holistic means an approach that includes the mind and body together. Naturopathy follows that philosophy.

METAMORPHOSIS : :
Metamorphosis means transmutation to a finer substance. Metamorphosis helps us to release the blockages and stresses created through the pre-natal time. It uses the spinal reflex on the feet, hands and head as a way to tune into the clear primary blockage in the unconscious which inhibit our functioning.

REFLEXOLOGY : :
Reflexology is a gentle form of healing done by simulating pressure points on the feet or hands, which orresponds to the organs of the body. Any discomfort found is an indication that the organ “reflected” by that particular point is not functioning fully and continued stimulation for a short time seems to produce improvement. Reflexology is a holistic for of therapy, as subtle changes occur in the body on physical, mental, emotional and energy levels. Reflexology is a natural therapy and complementary to traditional medicine.

REIKI : :
Reiki is a Japanese word referring to the active “life force” of the Universe. This energy helps to heal the body, mind and spirit by accelerating the body’s own ability to heal itself physically and by opening the mind to the emotional and spiritual causes of disease and pain. The flow of energy is experienced mostly as heat by both the person channeling the energy and those receiving, but is may also be experienced as a fine tingling, a tremor, and in cases of extreme need, a deep chill. Following treatment the person feels more relaxed and peaceful.

DEEP TISSUE : :
This massage works as a collaboration of different techniques, designed to work the deeper muscles of the body. Work on tissue in this region is generally carried out slowly and often used as a means of contacting the releasing emotional issues which may be stored in the body.

HOT STONE : :
Hot stone massage draws on the time-honoured wisdom of the therapeutic use of heated stones. Smooth, warm, volcanic stones are placed directly onto the body and also used as massage tools. Their penetrating warmth dissolves tension while their gentle weight and energy offers an experience of profound relaxation, groundedness and healing.

HUNA : :
Emanating from Hawaii, Huna massage is an ancient technique delivered through rhythmical arm and hand movements, replicating a wave motion over the body. Described as a nurturing, grounding and energetic experience, Huna massage recharges and creates a balance between the conscious and the subconscious.

MYOFACSIAL RELEASE : :
Myofascial release therapy involves applying heat and the gentle stretching of the fascia by a therapist’s hands. This therapy takes place over 1-6 minutes. Fascia is a three dimensional web of connective tissue that is responsible for giving the body its shape, and binds and divides us into organs and tissues. When traumatized, the fascia can thicken, harden and dry out causing restricted movement in the body and pain. Therapy with this method stretches and applies heat to the connective tissue, thereby altering its viscosity and allowing it to restore its original condition.

SPORTS : :
Sports massage is the rehabilitation of soft tissue dysfunction. This may occur from tasks carried out at home, work or during a sporting event. These specific techniques will also enhance recovery and prevention of injuries.

SWEDISH / RELAXATION : :
This type of massage is interchangeably referred to as Swedish or Relaxation. The technique employs light to moderate pressure designed to relax the muscles, improve circulation and soothe the nervous system.

TRIGGER POINT : :
This type of therapy works to alleviate painful tight areas or points in the muscles. The aim is to bring relief from pain and dissipate restrictions of movement. Common tasks such as physical activity and hobbies may cause strains, of which the client may not be aware at the time of activity, but later causes pain. Careful and gentle pressure on the trigger point releases tensions in the afflicted muscle.
